Once Candida yeast has become prolific and taken hold in the body, the only way to get rid of it is to starve it off. Eating a yeast-free diet for a time is essential. If you have a mild case of yeast stay on the diet for at least two weeks. For more serious cases you’ll need to stay on the diet for at least a month, and sometimes up to three months.
It is important that you DO NOT CHEAT while on this diet because cheating will feed the Candida and cause it to start multiplying again.
The Yeast-Free Diet…
DO NOT EAT
Sugar or anything that turns to sugar (includes sweet fruits—FEEDS Candida)
Mold or anything containing mold or fungus (FEEDS Candida)
Cheese, Vinegar, Mushrooms, Mayonnaise, or Mustard!
Starches, such as, potatoes, cooked carrots, rice, wheat or other grains
Protein—Meat (beef, chicken, turkey, fish, etc.), Eggs, (organic and free-range), and Protein Powder (non-sugary, plant based is best)
Fats—Coconut oil (contains Caprylic Acid which kills yeast), Olive Oil, and Almonds
Peanut Butter (with a small amount of Colloidal Silver stirred in because nuts can carry a lot of mold)
Good Carbs—Non-Starchy carbohydrates (i.e. green beans, broccoli, tomatoes, cucumbers, dark green leafy lettuce, and spinach, etc.)
Non-sugary Fruits—Fresh or frozen berries (freshly picked but not from store, as store-fresh berries are often moldy), Lemons, and Grapefruit (No other fruit)
Beans—(black beans, pinto beans, and black eye peas, etc.)
Grain—plain old-fashioned oatmeal (only grain allowed)
Colon-friendly Sweeteners—Xylilotol and Stevia
Other things you can do to kill off yeast…
DO—Create a balanced pH within your system. Candida cannot grow in a pH balanced environment. Some things you can do to create balance or a more alkaline system, include eating a balance of proteins and healthy carbs, taking digestive enzymes before each meal, drinking alkaline water (like Kangen) and avoiding stress and negative emotions.
DO—Take probiotics regularly to reestablish the balance of beneficial bacteria to yeast and keep Candida yeast under control.
DO—Take nutritional supplements that systematically kill off Candida yeast. If you don’t have too severe a case of systemic Candida (systematic Candida-means it’s gone through your entire system) and you do take a significant amount of Candida “killer” supplements, you can get rid of Candida yeast within a short period of time.

What to expect when Candida dies off…
As Candida yeast die-off they release toxic substances into the body. When Candida dies off faster than the toxins can be cleared from the bloodstream a temporary toxic or allergic-type reaction can occur. This condition is commonly referred to as yeast die-off. Signs of die-off include intense cravings, headaches, bloating, gassiness, nausea, and an overall aching and sick feeling, etc. The good news is yeast die-off is usually short lived, and it’s a confirmation that what you’re doing is working
To help clear out yeast as it dies off, you can take Kidney Drainage, Lymphatic Drainage and Candida Enzymes (NS products). Taking L-Glutamine, Probiotics and (soluble) Fiber will help repair Leaky Gut and help eliminate food allergies.
What you can do to keep yeast away for good…
Take natural medicines
Antibiotics, chemo, radiation, and many other medicines, including over-the-counter medicines impair healthy cell function and disrupt balance in the digestive tract. Balance the body and support it in healing itself by practicing healthy habits and using herbs, essential oils, and energy work, etc.
Support your immune system
An easy way to boost your improve health is to add pure grapefruit and or lemon essential oil to your drinking water and also take grapefruit and lemon essential oil internally in a capsule (take 8-9 drops a day). I recommend doTERRA essential oils because they are “Certified” Pure Therapeutic Grade and you can take them internally. Also take Beta-glucans – they are very important for immune support, especially if you have a weakened system.
Repair leaky gut
Take 1–2 drops oregano, 2–4 drops melaleuca, and 2–4 drops lemon essential oils in a capsule 1-2 times a day for 10 days (use doTERRA Certified Pure essential oils). Follow up with a good probiotic 2 times a day for 20 days (follow directions on bottle). Also consider taking astringent herbs and/or L-glutamine—which are all good for tissue repair (take on an empty stomach).
Identify and eliminate sensitive foods
After you finish a strict round of the yeast-free diet (absolutely no cheating), start adding foods back into your diet one at a time and watch for symptoms of yeast. If you pay attention, you will immediately know which foods work for you and which foods don’t. Eat foods that make your body feel good and avoid foods that make you feel bad. Mainly stick with the yeast-free diet.
Switch to colon-friendly sugars
Stevia and Xylitol are natural sugars that when eaten in moderation, don’t cause blood-sugar levels to spike or create unfavorable conditions in the colon. Eat all sweets sparingly, including most fruits, which fit best under the candy category.
Avoid all dairy products,including whey, as much as possible. Dairy products create a gunky buildup in the digestive tract that yeast thrives on. Some plain cultured yogurt and Keifer are OK for most people, especially once yeast is cleared up. Make sure you choose brands of yogurt and Keifer that are hormone and antibiotic free.
Avoid processed and refined foods
Processed foods are mostly nutrient-void and they create an acidic environment that’s perfect for growing yeast.
Make sure you are really moving your body on a regular basis, at least 30 minutes, 3 times per week. Exercise helps the body to release toxins at a cellular level and creates an environment that’s unappealing to yeast.
Upgrade your attitude
Choose to be happy and make it a point to avoid stress, anger, and other negative, yeast-feeding emotions.
The bottom line is…
When it comes to cleaning up yeast and keeping it gone for good, is if you want it to stay away you have to continue on with eating a healthier and more alkaline diet, etc.
If you go back to your same old ways, you’ll end up with the same unpleasant old Candida-driven symptoms … just like before. If you want your life and health to be different and better you have to make lifestyle choices that will support your body in being well.
It’s really just as simple as that.
